The Fulford Jeans sewing pattern from Thread Theory is the classic straight leg jean. They feature a regular fit on the thigh going into straight legs. A moderate rise which sits the waistband just below the waist. Sew in denim for a typical workwear look.
Sewing a pair of jeans is a great exercise in technique. You will learn the traditional denim detailing of flat felled seams, zipper fly, rivet application and lots of topstitching.
The waistband of this garment is drafted cleverly in two pieces with a centre back seam hidden underneath the belt loop. This means that fit modifications are particularly easy.
