The Fairfield Button-up Shirt sewing pattern from Thread Theory is a shirt with all the classic details but also a modern slim fit. It features a slim collar with stand, optional breast pockets, flat felled seams and a yoke.
There is a curved hem so that you can wear the shirt in a casual, untucked way if you want, and the button placket is drafted as a separate piece for pattern matching. The sleeve plackets can have a hidden tab to secure a rolled sleeve and there are dart or pleat options on the back.
There is regular slim sizing and a separate set of pieces for larger figures to accommodate a rounded stomach.
