Start Crochet

This class will get you started with Crochet. The course will equip you with all the basics of crocheting in a relaxed environment. You will learn the following: chain, slip stitch, double crochet, half treble, treble crochet and double treble stitch, plus we’ll cover the differences between US and UK terminology and hook sizes.

Once you’ve mastered the basic techniques it won’t be long before you’ll be making your own project whether it be a simple motif or a classic crochet blanket to treasure forever.

On the day of your class please make sure you leave time after your morning class, or before your afternoon class to browse our shop. Class attendees get 10% of purchases* in the shop on the day of their class. *Excludes Gift Vouchers, Sewing Machines & Classes

All our classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. We urge you to carefully check your diary prior to booking to ensure that you can attend. We also need three students enrolled on the class otherwise it is subject to cancellation. By purchasing this class you are agreeing to our full class policy.

Class Materials and Equipment
Materials are not included in the price. Please see list of materials below. It is your responsibility to prepare your materials so that you are ready to learn when the class starts. You may want to come into the shop in the days before the class and our staff will help you get together everything that you will need. Please be aware that you may not wish to purchase class materials until the minimum class number of three students has been reached.

Yarn: 1 x ball of Chunky yarn. (We recommend a chunky yarn for beginners as it makes it easier to see the stitches, but if you want to try a range of weights that is fine to bring those too)

Haberdashery: 1 x 8-10mm crochet hook; You may find it useful to bring your own scissors, and a notebook and pen.
