Dress Tech: Sleeve Hack

Entry Level: You will need to be comfortable and confident sewing on a standard sewing machine. You will have some experience sewing with commercial sewing patterns.
Materials: Most materials included, but please check below for what you need to bring.
Tutor: Susan Young
In this introduction to pattern hacking you will learn and practice creating a full-length sleeve from a short-sleeve, a bishop sleeve from a straight sleeve, and a puff sleeve from a gathered sleeve. You will also explore using a combination of these hacks to create new and interesting sleeve shapes.

Class Materials and Equipment
Most materials for this class are included in the price, but you will need to bring the following:
Machine: You will need to bring your own working sewing machine (and you bring the manual too!).
Thread: You will need some sewing thread for your machine such as Gutermann SewAll.
Haberdashery: You may find it useful to bring your own scissors, tape measure, pins and chalk, although we will have these to borrow, and please do bring a notepad and pen.
