Dress Tech: Know Your Overlocker

Entry Level: You will need to be comfortable and confident sewing on a standard sewing machine. You do not need to have sewn with your overlocker before.
Materials: Most materials included, but please check below for what you need to bring.
Tutor: Terry Baker or Susan Young
This class is for all those people who have an overlocker but haven’t dared get it out of the box. Or, perhaps you’re using it, but dread the day the thread will need changing!
You will leave this class with confidence boosted… you will get comfortable threading your machine, and familiar with the tension settings, other settings and get some top tips along the way.

On the day of your class please make sure you leave time after your morning class, or before your afternoon class to browse our shop. Class attendees get 10% of purchases* in the shop on the day of their class.

All our classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. We urge you to carefully check your diary prior to booking to ensure that you can attend. We also need three students enrolled on the class otherwise it is subject to cancellation. By purchasing this class you are agreeing to our full class policy.
Class Materials and Equipment
Most materials for this class are included in the price, but you will need to bring the following:
Machine: You will need to bring your own working overlocker (and you must bring the manual too!).
Thread: 4 x spools of different coloured threads. This can be overlocker thread, or any other thread.
Haberdashery: You may find it useful to bring your own scissors, tape measure, pins and chalk, although we will have these to borrow, and please do bring a notepad and pen.
