What is your minimum cut?

We have a minimum cut of half a metre for plain fabric and a quarter metre for patterned fabric. If you order just one quarter of a fabric this will be cut as a fat quarter. If you would prefer a long quarter, please let us select the long quarter dropdown on the fabric page. If you order multiple units your fabric will be sent to you in one continuous piece.  

What is a fat quarter and what is a long quarter?

A fat quarter is a way of cutting a quarter of a metre of fabric into a more useful shape. A fat quarter will measure 50cm x half the width of the fabric bolt. A long quarter will measure 25cm x the full width of the fabric bolt. Please see diagram below.

Can my fabric be washed?

We recommend that you wash your fabric before using it. Machine wash at 30 degrees in a normal cycle with like colours. Use only non-chlorine bleach. Tumble dry low and remove promptly. Use a warm iron if necessary.  

Can I use this fabric for making childrens’ sleepwear?

The manufacturers of our fabric recommend that it is not used for childrens’ sleepwear.
