The lovely Victory Patterns Lola Sweater Dress has been revised and reissued, and we are delighted to (re)introduce her to you. Lola is inspired by the classic crew neck sweater, which is the ultimate cozy garment. It ties in feminine elements, giving this comfortable, classic style a sleek update. This slip-on dress features an angled waistline, with front and back princess seams, which provides soft shaping for this sweater style. The "V" detail along the neckline gives the nod to its garment muse. It also features relaxed raglan sleeves, oversized wrap-around pockets, and a ribbed neckline, hem band, and sleeve cuffs.
Kristian Boos, creator of Victory Patterns (see her 'From Where I Sew' feature on the Backstitch blog), has taken the opportunity to make some amendments for the relaunch. Some of the changes she has made are as follows:
Lengthened the sleeves and hemline;
Increased the circumference of the hem band to relax the inward shape at the hem;
Dropped the armhole for more comfort;
Refined the curve on the back of the princess seam;
Re-fitted the neckline to eliminate a slight gaping at the front;
Re-shaped the neckline, so it sits closer to the neck;
Adjusted the fit of the pocket.
