A Colette Myrtle Dress
Have you guys seen the new Colette pattern? The Myrtle Dress is the third pattern in their recent 'Sewing Knits' series after the Mabel and the Moneta, both of which have been received very well. I was immediately drawn to the Myrtle due to it's gorgeous drapey neckline and it's looser fit. And, the idea that it could be made in a woven fabric too really appealed. Introducing Thread Theory Menswear Patterns
This is quite clearly going to be 'The Year of the Man' as we welcome another menswear pattern house onto the virtual shelves at Backstitch (The first was Walden). Thread Theory is a new Canadian pattern house led by Morgan and Matthew Meredith, an oh-so-cute couple from Vancouver Island. Morgan does the designing and Matthew is the self proclaimed nerd in charge of the IT and photography side of things. Continue reading →
