Three New Grainline Studio Patterns
Back in Summer we took delivery of Jen from Grainline Studio's first round of printed sewing patterns with the Alder, Archer and Scout designs. Kiriki Press Embroidery Kits (warning: irresistible)
Oh boy, oh boy, have you seen the new Kiriki Press embroidery kits yet? They came into the shop in November and all flew out for Christmas gifts before I had a chance to shout about them. Spring Quilt Festival: Duxford
Twice a year in Cambridgeshire there is a Quilt Festival held by Grosvenor Shows. For many years it was held at Chilford Hall, but since a devastating fire at that venue in 2012 it has been held at Duxford Imperial War Museum. Continue reading → -
A Month In Snapshot: January 2015
Last year was massive for Backstitch. We brought in whole new categories of thread, haberdashery, tools and notions, and kits. We opened a real life actual shop - our gorgeous haberdashery is just outside Cambridge - and we started running all sorts of sewing classes in dressmaking, quilting, embroidery and more. I'm pretty confident that 2015 is going to be just as big. We have lots of ideas forming, not least a big plan to get much more active on this blog!
