Backstitch will be closed for two days over the bank holiday weekend. We will be closed both Good Friday, 03/04/15, and Easter Sunday, 05/04/15, this year. Backstitch will be open on Easter Saturday, 04/04/15, and there is the annual Burwash Manor Easter Egg Hunt on that day which will be stacks of fun, so do come along and enjoy this...

   We did it!  It was a lot of work but also a whole lot of fun.  On the 6th, 7th and 8th of March, you could find Backstitch not only at our Burwash Manor shop just outside Cambridge, but also two junctions down the M11 at the Imperial War Museum where we had a stand as part of the Duxford Spring Quilt Festival. Two weeks ago we received delivery of a new Aurifil stand and very exciting it was too.  I arrived at the shop to find it sitting in a crate on a pallett on the doorstep of the shop.  Lily and I wrestled with the packaging to reveal all it's glory! Continue reading →
