A Month In Snapshot: May 2016
We've had a fab month of May at Backstitch. We have welcomed a new member of staff into the shop. Many of you will have met Suzanne already, she is busy learning the ropes and getting to know all our regulars! We've had a stack of new fabric in, and welcome brand new pattern house 'How To Do Fashion' from Denmark. 'Big Grey Shawl': Paris Toujours in Moonstone
I've been doing much more knitting than sewing of late. It's all this squishy yarn that has come into the shop - gone and got me all inspired to knit! Megan Nielsen Axel Skirt and Sudley Dress and Blouse
We are Megan Nielsen fans here at Backstitch, so we would love to share with you the latest two patterns from this lovely Australian designer. We are particularly fond of the Megan Nielsen Axel skirt, as it is super flattering, and smart, but made from a knit, so you feel like you're wearing pyjamas! Axel comes in a variety of different hem finishes, including a flowy handkerchief hem and a midi length version with a slit that can be worn on either the front or back. There’s also a lovely knee length version with the added embellishment of on-trend hip sashes. All the skirt options are close fitted and sit on the natural waist. Continue reading → -
