We are excited about the arrival of these Closet Case Patterns. The designer behind them, Heather Lou, has long been admired for her designs, until recently only available in pdf format. The Ginger Skinny Jeans for example have been widely discussed in the on-line sewing community because they ACTUALLY FIT, plus they have all the pocket detailing, stitching and rivets you would expect from jeans, rather than being just another pair of trousers made of denim.
The other patterns are just as thoughtfully detailed: the Nettie Bodysuit is not only hot, but has a low cut bum to avoid an embarrassing Visible Panty Line, as well as an optional snap crotch so you don't have to get naked to use the bathroom. The Carolyn Pajamas have been designed for chic lounging, so are thoughtfully tailored with a modern, figure-flattering cut. The Clare Coat has two inspiring design options: view A has an interesting asymmetrical zip feature, as well as welt pockets, princess sleeves and a face-framing collar; view B has a more minimalist vibe - double breasted, it ends at the hip with in-seam pockets, full length sleeves and a dramatic funnel collar.
If making your own jeans or coat seems a little daunting, don't be put off - Heather offers fabulous step-by-step sewalongs and tutorials on her blog, the Closet Case Files.
