We Got A Facelift - Shop Tour
Between Christmas and New Year when most of the country were groaning in lethargy, we were groaning about packing, plaster dust and paint. When I opened Backstitch at Burwash Manor in March last year it felt like a very big step and I did everything I could take make that big step as easy as possible. One of those things was not doing a full on refit of the premises. Three New Grainline Studio Patterns
Back in Summer we took delivery of Jen from Grainline Studio's first round of printed sewing patterns with the Alder, Archer and Scout designs. These were then followed by the Linden Sweatshirt, and now three brand spanking new styles in print. There will be many of you that are eagerly awaiting these... Kiriki Press Embroidery Kits (warning: irresistible)
Oh boy, oh boy, have you seen the new Kiriki Press embroidery kits yet? They came into the shop in November and all flew out for Christmas gifts before I had a chance to shout about them. Spring Quilt Festival: Duxford
Twice a year in Cambridgeshire there is a Quilt Festival held by Grosvenor Shows. For many years it was held at Chilford Hall, but since a devastating fire at that venue in 2012 it has been held at Duxford Imperial War Museum. Continue reading →
