Austin Dress Sewing Pattern | Grainline Studio

The Austin Dress sewing pattern from Grainline Studio is a semi-fitted sleeveless dress. It has a simple shape but with great detailing. It has armhole darts and a button fastened keyhole opening centre front. The seams are topstitched and it is fastened all the way down both side seams with with buttons which is an excellent feature. Front patch pockets are optional and it can be made up with a knee length a-line skirt or a midi-length gathered skirt.

Fabric Recommendations:  Light to mid-weight woven cloths such as linen, cotton, chambray and denim, or use viscose or tencel for a drapey look. Fabric quantities can be found in chart at end of images. Extra fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids or directional prints.

Other Supplies: Thread, 16 x 18mm-19mm buttons, 1 x 10mm button, short length of elastic cord for front button loop.
